Game Testers – They don’t work from home. They work at a Game Development company, a Professional game testing company or something similar. It is like an office job.
Learn Take a Game Testing training course… Also communication, how to work on a team, technology… Are also good to have.

Equipment – None. When they make a prerelease version of a Xbox 360 or PS3 or Wii game, it doesn’t run on a regular console and unless you are a game developer, you can’t buy the right hardware.

Donald asks…
anyone know any good online game tester sites ?
going to college to be a game designer, need to make some money to pay for college…any suggestions, well help

admin answers:
There aren’t any. Every single one of those sites is a scam.
True game testing, called Quality Assurance within the industry, is a full time job that takes place within an office, usually the same office where the game is being designed and produced. Some studios will hire temporary part time QA testers during the last stretch before a game is shipped, but you would need to live near the game studio already, and you would need to adjust your classes around the hours the company needed you to work, not the other way around.
