18. No qualifications necessary. Once you’re old enough to legally play an M rated game then you can be a game tester. It’s also the worst and least paying job in the game industry but good luck anyways,

Because Publishers spend Millions on games, they hate for information to leak out and spoil their investment so to protect it they
1) Make you sign a NDA
2) Usually have you come to their secure facility to test.
I would too, if it was my money. You don’t want to give a game to someone you barely know and then have screen shots appear on the blogs and ruin the buzz you were generating and costing you a lot more than some game testers salary, right?
And since game testing jobs are in demand, you can find someone else who will put up with the restrictions, right?
Anyway, at 17 you can’t sign a NDA and have it be legally binding so they will wait until you are 18.
If you want to do something constructive in the mean time, get some game tester education.

I’m assuming your in your teens.
No, game testing is not all about playing video games and thats it.
You’d be playing looking for thousands of tiny little bugs in the game and trying to fix them…..which would probly result in making more bugs.
It sounds very annoying, tedious and boring. But i’d still probly do it in a second. Plus im sure u need a hell of an education to do it.
