Why pay a membership to become a video game tester?
This sounds like a fun career, yet everywhere i check i keep reading that i have to pay for a membership or just simply pay. Why should i pay? What is the purpose? I really want to know. Thank you in advance!

Those ads are misleading. Our definition of a game tester is different than their definition of a game test.
Our definition of a game tester is someone who spends hours and hours playing games, looking for bugs, glitches, exploits, etc.
Their definition of a game tester is more like the definition of a game developer. You have to pay because it’s a school to teach you how to make games.

It’s like any job. Just send a resume to video game developers in your city that are looking for testers. If there aren’t any, then you can’t be a tester. No one’s going to hire you unless you can work on location.
